Results of the 11th Panhellenic Violin Competition

The Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation held on September 30 and October 1, 2024, at the building of its Historical Library, the 11th Panhellenic Violin Competition for the granting of the Ismini Carter Scholarship for higher violin studies at a Music University abroad (for obtaining a Bachelor or Master).

According to the unanimous decision of the Jury, the two-year Ismini Carter scholarship was given to Kosmas Dimitrios, who completed this year his first part of studies and took exams for the Bachelor department of the Higher University of Graz, while at the same time he received his violin diploma with honors.

The Jury consisted of Morfo Papadimitriou, graduate of the University of Berlin, First violin at the Athens Jury Orchestra, Nina Patrikidou, Violinist, Concertino of the Greek National Opera, Margarita Stathaki, Violin Soloist, Principal Violin Orchestra of ERT, Violin Professor at the Athens College Conservatory, Akis Stratoudakis, Violinist, Soloist, First Violin at the Athens Opera and President Christos Kanettis,  Violin soloist, Professor of violin and viola at the Mozarteum Music University in Salzburg, Austria.

He was accompanied on the piano by Mrs. Chryssa Grenda
