Incunables

Books produced at the beginning of printing, from the 1450s up to 1500, are called incunables (lat. Incunabula). The Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation owns the largest private collection of incunables in Greece.

It comprises books from the two most important collections of the Historical Library, the Bibliotheca Graeca of Sakos Ikonomopoulos and the collection of Panos Laskaridis, president of the Foundation. The Incunabula Collection is often showcased in periodical exhibitions, while it is applied in research projects, digital applications, conferences and publications.
