The role of the media in cultivating and shaping attitudes and perceptions around the issue of autism.

The Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation hosts the event of the Foundation for the Protection of Children and Youth with Developmental Disorders “Theotokos“,  Autism and Media: How can the media become more inclusive? Speaking about autism, stereotypes and how this can change,  on Tuesday 4 June 2024 at 18.15, at the Historical Library.

What is the role of the media in shaping public opinion and cultivating attitudes and behaviors? How can the portrayal of autism in the media directly affect society’s understanding and treatment of people with autism? How can awareness, education, combating prejudice, encouraging participation and promoting cooperation be cultivated through the media?  Elements necessary to build a more just and inclusive society;
