The library was donated to the Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation by his wife, Flora Kaklamani, in 2018 and is estimated to contain approximately 2,000 items, primarily related to mathematics.

Biography

Nikos Klaoudatos (1943-2016) was a professor of mathematics. He was born and raised in Patras. He studied at the University of Athens and began working in Secondary Education in 1967. He served in middle and high schools in Kefalonia, Patras, and Athens, with his final position being at the Varvakios Experimental High School. Detached to the Pedagogical Institute, he contributed to the writing of mathematics textbooks for middle schools (1986-1989) and for High Schools (1995-1998). From 1998 until his retirement in 2004, he worked as a School Advisor for Mathematics in the 2nd Directorate of Secondary Education in Athens. During the period 1995-2014, he worked as a specialist in the field of Teaching and History of Mathematics in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Athens and, from 2003, also as a lecturer in the Postgraduate Program. He served as a member and President of the Board of Directors of the ELME of Achaia, General Secretary of the Board of Directors of the OLME, and as a member of the Board of the Hellenic Mathematical Society.
