The shared library of Yolanda Triantafyllidou-Baladié and her husband Raoul Baladié was transferred to the Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation in 2014. The collection primarily focuses on the history of Greece, Cyprus, and France, as well as geography. It includes numerous editions of Greek and Latin classical authors and is accompanied by their research archive.

Biography

Yolanda Triantafyllidou-Baladié, sister of the distinguished historian Aikaterini Koumarianou, was herself a historian and archaeologist with a particular focus on the history of Greece and Cyprus during the Ottoman era. She served as a collaborator (Chef de travaux) at the Historical Research Center of the School of Higher Social Studies of Paris (EHESS) and the National Research Foundation of Greece, dedicating much of her research to economic and social policy issues.
Raoul Baladié (1915-2005), a prominent French geographer, specialized in the study of European travelers and their works, with a notable emphasis on Strabo and his “Geography.” His bibliography was incorporated into the curriculum of several French universities. Baladié taught in secondary education and later at the Universities of Lille, Paris X (Nanterre), and Bordeaux III, where he also served as Director of the Hellenic Institute, reflecting his long-standing commitment to Hellenism. From 1970 to 1975, he was the Head of the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) in France.
