The library of Professor Marios Begzos

The collection was donated to the Foundation in 2020 by the owner himself. It consists of approximately 2,500 items, mainly focused on religious studies, philosophy, psychology and history.

Biography

Marios Begzos (1951) is a theologian, academic and author. He studied theology and law at the University of Athens. He did postgraduate studies in theology and philosophy at the Universities of Geneva (1973-1974) and Tübingen (1978-1981). He was awarded a Doctorate in 1985 with a thesis on the philosophy of religion of physicist Werner Heisenberg. He taught at the School of Theology of the University of Athens from 1975 and served as its Dean for two four-year terms (2011-2018). He has written thirty monographs and some four hundred articles in scientific journals, university yearbooks and festschrifts. His studies have been translated into many languages.
