Early printed books

The term “early printed books” describes books produced using a manual printing press, with the conventional cutoff year being 1800 or 1830.

Acknowledging the unique landscape of Greek book production, the Foundation has opted to extend the classification of early printed books to those printed up to the year 1900.

The Foundation’s collection includes some 15,000 early printed books, many of which are rare and valuable.
